We are a small,
personal clinic with Kathy focusing on providing CranioSacral Therapy and Mind-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes. Carl
works with individuals and couples to help with emotional and relationship issues. We believe strongly in the notion that
our bodies and minds will naturally strive for health when free of obstacles which may be blocking the road to health.
We are located at "The Professional Center" office complex which is at the southwest corner of the intersection
of Bayshore Blvd (Alt Hwy 19) and Michigan Blvd in Dunedin. Our address is 1968 Bayshore Blvd. Our building is located in
the northern section of the complex (don't worry, it's a small complex). To reach Kathy & the Center call 727-738-9333.
To reach Carl call 727-736-3717. If necessary, leave a message. We strive to return all calls promptly.
Kathy Williams
L.M.T. has experienced extensive training in pathology, clinical laboratory medicine, bodywork, mind-body medicine and
meditation. In 1972 she graduated from Northeastern University Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in clinical laboratory
medicine. She went on to work for the V.A. Medical Hospital where she trained in histology/pathology and worked as a research
assistant to the Neuro-Pathologist while exploring the possible causes of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrig's, Legionnaire's,
Alcoholism, Mental Illness, to name a few. Upon moving to Florida
in 1982 Kathy decided to help people in a different way and began her career in bodywork. In 1984 she completed 500 hours
at The Humanities Center School of Massage and, went on to explore different therapies directed at helping people
who may be experiencing skeletal/muscular pain and stiffness.. After experiencing a Cranio-Sacral session, it became clear
that this was the path she was to follow. This path began in 1998
when Kathy began her training with The Upledger Institute. It is her area of specialization today along with teaching
classes in Mind-Based Stress Reduction. (See MBSR). Through the years of training and experience it has become clear that
there is a mind-body connection with illness and with health and how important it is for each individual to have the skills
and wisdom to help themselves. This wisdom is in each and everyone of us , we only have to learn how to tap into it. Kathy's
intention is to help each patient on this path.
She is a member of the American Massage Association, the International
Association of Healthcare Practitioners, and the American CranioSacral Therapy Association, Inc.. Kathy has been honored with
national certification from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
